Flip Dollars™ Terms & Conditions

How Flip Dollars™ are earned and redeemed, and what they can and can't be used for.

Last Updated: October 10, 2026

About This Program

Flip Dollars™ ("Flip Dollars") is a non-monetary loyalty and rewards program offered by Flip & Floss Incorporated and its subsidiaries and affiliates, including Flip & Floss, Flip Academy, Flip & Floss USA Inc., and Flip & Floss US Inc. (collectively, "Flip & Floss," "we," "us," or "our") as part of the Flip Academy platform. Flip Dollars allow students to earn points by completing educational courses, chores, and challenges, and to redeem those points as described in Section 4 below. Flip Dollars have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred to any other person or account.

2. Eligibility and Parental Consent

Participation in the Flip Dollars program requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian for any student under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. This consent may be obtained directly from the parent or legal guardian, or through a student's school where the school is authorized to provide consent on behalf of parents for genuinely educational, non-commercial use of the Flip Academy platform.

Flip Dollars is designed for use by students of all ages served by Flip Academy, including students under the age of 13. Where a student under 13 participates through a school partnership, Flip & Floss handles the applicable consent and data practices in accordance with applicable children's privacy laws.

3. Earning Flip Dollars

Students may earn Flip Dollars by:

  • Completing educational courses and passing associated assessments within Flip Academy;
  • Completing chores or tasks assigned by a parent or legal guardian through the platform;
  • Participating in challenges, games, or competitions offered from time to time by Flip & Floss.

Flip Dollars have no fixed or implied monetary value at the time they are earned, and the number of Flip Dollars awarded for any activity may be changed by Flip & Floss at its discretion, with notice provided through the platform for material changes.

4. Redeeming Flip Dollars

4.1 School Gift Card Redemption (Current)

A student may redeem accumulated Flip Dollars for a gift card selected by Flip & Floss from a defined catalog of participating retailers, fulfilled and distributed through the student's school. Flip & Floss determines which gift card denominations are available at each Flip Dollars threshold. Students do not receive cash, a cash-equivalent balance, or the ability to choose an arbitrary dollar amount in place of the specific gift card offered.

To redeem, a student requests redemption within the Flip Academy app once the applicable threshold is met. A school administrator or supervised redemption point confirms the request and issues the gift card, using a QR code or equivalent redemption credential tied to the student's account.

4.2 Participating Merchant Discounts (Future)

Flip & Floss may, in the future, allow Flip Dollars to be redeemed for a discount on purchases made with participating merchant partners, similar to conventional retail loyalty programs. Where available, a student applies a discount at the time of purchase using a QR code or equivalent mechanism displayed within the Flip Academy app. Flip Dollars used in this way are applied only as a discount on that specific purchase — they are not converted to cash, are not issued as a general-purpose balance, and cannot be redeemed for any amount exceeding the specific discount offered by the participating merchant.

Participating merchants and available discounts will be identified within the Flip & Floss app as this feature becomes available and may vary by location and over time.

5. No Cash Value and No Transfer

Flip Dollars have no fixed or guaranteed cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash under any circumstance. Flip Dollars cannot be transferred, gifted, sold, or otherwise assigned to any other person, account, household, or entity. Each student's Flip Dollars balance is personal to that student's own account.

6. Redemption Restrictions

Flip Dollars may not be earned or redeemed in connection with the purchase of tobacco, alcohol, lottery tickets, firearms, drugs, or any other product or service that Flip & Floss specifies from time to time or that is prohibited by applicable law.

7. Program Changes

Flip & Floss may modify these Terms and Conditions, including the ways Flip Dollars may be earned or redeemed, from time to time. We will provide notice of material changes through the Flip Academy platform and, where appropriate, directly to parents or legal guardians.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy applies to the Flip Dollars program and describes how we collect, use, and protect student and parent/guardian information, including additional protections that apply given the program's use by children.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise based on a user's location.
